- Password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we do not store plain-text passwords)
- Display name (shown to members of your family)

We store content you and your family enter in the Service, such as:

Content may be visible only to you or to other members of your family, depending on visibility settings you choose.
2.3 Payment and subscription information
If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Payment card and billing details are collected and processed by Paddle.com (our Merchant of Record). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- We receive subscription status, transaction references, and renewal dates from Paddle to provide access to the Service.
2.4 Support and correspondence
If you contact us at support@turbofam.com, we receive your email address, message content, and any information you choose to include.
2.5 Automatically collected information
When you use the Service, we and our hosting providers may automatically collect:
- Usage data such as pages visited, features used, and timestamps
- Device and browser information (browser type, device type)
- IP address and similar identifiers in server logs
- Session and authentication cookies (required to keep you signed in)
We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated, privacy-oriented page analytics. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Create and manage accounts and family memberships
- Process subscriptions and payments (via Paddle)
- Send transactional emails (e.g. invitations, password reset, account verification) via Resend
- Respond to support requests
- Monitor security, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug technical issues
- Understand aggregate usage and improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
We do not use your information for third-party advertising. We do not sell personal information.
We may send service-related messages (e.g. security or account notices). We do not send promotional marketing emails unless you opt in and we say otherwise in the future.
4. How we share information
4.1 Within your family
Information you mark as shared with your family is visible to other members of that family account, according to your visibility settings.
The Service is not a public social network. Content is not posted for the general public.
4.2 Service providers
We use third-party companies to run the Service (for example: Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for hosting, Resend for transactional email, Paddle for payments, and Vercel Analytics for aggregated page analytics). They process data on our instructions only, as needed to provide those services.
4.3 Legal and business transfers
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required by law).
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service to work (for example, to keep you signed in and to protect accounts).
We may use Vercel Analytics cookies or similar technologies for aggregated analytics.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using signed-in features.
We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Account and family content: retained while your account is active. If you delete your account (or your founding member deletes the family), we delete or anonymize associated data per our application logic, subject to backup retention below.
- After cancellation: if you cancel a paid subscription, you typically keep access through the end of your current paid billing period. After that, access to paid features may end, but your data is retained until the founding member deletes the account or family.
- Expired or lapsed subscription: if a subscription ends without renewal, access to the Service may be limited until you subscribe again. We do not automatically delete your account or family data when a subscription lapses.
- Support email: retained as needed to respond and for a reasonable period for follow-up (typically up to 24 months unless a longer period is required for legal claims).
- Server logs and analytics: retained for a limited period for security and operations (typically up to 24 months).
- Payment records: transaction and invoice records may be retained for up to 10 years where required for tax and accounting (held by Paddle and/or us as applicable).
Residual copies may exist in encrypted backups for a limited time and are deleted on a regular schedule.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
- In the Service: founding members can manage family settings, remove members, and delete the family account from account settings where available.
- By email: contact support@turbofam.com for access, correction, or deletion requests.
We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
California residents: We do not sell personal information. See section 12 below.
8. Account and data deletion
Founding members may delete their account and entire family through the Service (account settings). That process removes family data (events, lists, members) according to our application logic and removes or deactivates associated login accounts.
Invited members cannot delete the entire family; the founding member may remove invited members from the family.
We may retain certain information where we have a legal obligation or legitimate need (e.g. fraud prevention, legal claims, or backup retention described above).
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use a strong password and keep it confidential.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in the United States and where our service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to transfer and processing in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.
Our primary database provider is Supabase; contact support@turbofam.com for questions about hosting region.
11. Children's privacy
TurboFam is designed for families, but only adults 18 or older may register as the founding member and accept our Terms.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 for their own standalone accounts. Children may use the Service only when a parent or legal guardian (the founding member) invites them to a family account and supervises their use.
The founding member controls invitations, family membership, visibility settings, and may delete the family account and associated data.
We do not require children to provide date of birth, gender, grade level, or telephone number to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect such information from children except as a parent or guardian may provide a display name or similar information when setting up a family member's profile.
If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in a way that violates this Policy, contact support@turbofam.com and we will take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
Parent/guardian rights: A parent or guardian who is the founding member may review, correct, or delete information about their family by using account settings or contacting support.
12. No sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
13. Links to other websites
The Service may link to third-party sites (for example, our payment provider). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example, on the Service or by email where appropriate).
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
